Ranked AFK Players changes needed

I played 5 matches and 3 of them had an afk in RANKED, this is unecceptable, I was about to win those matches anyway but eventually lost. It's unacceptable I have to play 4vs5 and lose rank points, I deserve at least to lose nothing or gain something if I am MVP of my team. AFK players on gold and below is a serious problem, I am Silver almost Gold and I deserve at least platinum, but I get afk players on my team 70% of the time

Were they AFK in the start or later into the match?

Because in league of legends, the way they implemented it was something of a "if they aren't there at the beginning of the match, you can vote for a non-match" which effectively cancels the game. However, if your teammate played and raged 10 minutes after the start, the ability to cancel the game is no longer available.

I'm going to assume your teammate left 4 or later rounds after. The reason why you can't reset is because it would be wasting the other teams time, if you always had a safe way out by having one player leave so the rest of the team doesn't suffer elo loss. You could implement more severe leaver penalties, but this could potentially affect people who simply just had computer issues and crashed.

aeronaut Yea but ranks should reflect players skills, if I have one leaver at lets say 8 - 6 and then I lose cause I play 4vs5, the enemy team doesnt deserve to earn rank points, cause they were weaker and would have lost. It's a waste of time for everyone and for this reason AFK should be punished in RANKED (quicks are to relax so no afk punishments), but at the same time the stronger team doesn't deserve to lose points and give them to the weaker enemy team cause of a leaver.

Thats the huge problem in lower ranks. Same here, about 50% games i got leaver who disconnect from the game after we fail to get 2-3 rounds. Sometimes i'm feeling tired of it and if this game doesn't do something about leavers, well, there won't be point of playing it. One player can't win the game.

We need correction about people who leaves the game, some kind of penalty as being demoted whole rank - penalty of **
ban** on a day-two.
