Why do we get punished if we quit a game with a cheater on own team?

I just don't get it.... why are we forced to play with a cheater on our own team for 40 minutes?
This is not only boring but realy ridiculous... i don't want to be reported for getting carried/boosted.
All 4 of us called him out and he even approved it on voice and said "he doesn't care, he has enough accounts".
I wish we could have kicked him or vote for surrender just to punish him!
This forcing into a match realy needs to get changed.... this isn't a moba where cheaters don't exist so you can force people into matches (especially unranked).... in an shooter where cheating happens a lot, you shouldn't force people or they get annoyed and quit this game sooner than later.

Aeekto Unfortunately, as stated by one of the Valorant developers, if a cheater is in your game you just have to let Vanguard do its thing, as much as that may suck.

And regardless if if there's a cheater on your team or not, you will get penalized if you leave the game. There's really no way around that at the moment.

Aeekto if you report the cheater and he gets busted the game cancels and no1 gets a win or loss, should of done that and not left :S

TheRoyalPK You can also report him inmediatly, so you don't have to wait until Vanguard finds him.

Mixer-com-BudsterLKS I second this; cheaters are usually immediately noticed if multiple users report them for cheating. Even if a single user reports them specifically for cheating, you're raising your chances of getting them banned.

anyone that needs to cheat to win a game is sad and pathetic... they also have no self respect coz if they had any they would value their time more highly and do something more worth their time....
